If you have authorized an automatic payment and you are converting PayPal currency for an automatic payment transaction, PayPal uses the transaction exchange rate (including the currency conversion difference of PayPal) that is valid at the time the automatic payment transaction is processed. You can set separate preferred payment methods for online transactions, in-store transactions, and one of your automatic payment agreements, as described below. Risk-based retention periods generally remain in place for up to 21 days from the date of receipt of payment to your PayPal account. We may release retention earlier in certain circumstances (e.g.B. if you have uploaded tracking information as part of the transaction), but any prior release is at our sole discretion. The suspension may last longer than 21 days if the payment is disputed as a payment that should be invalidated and cancelled on the basis of a disputed transaction as described in the following paragraph below. In this case, we will keep the payment on your account PayPal until the problem is resolved (but not more than 180 days). You may be protected from certain errors if you send money through an account PayPal outside the United States. A «bank transfer» is a transaction that meets the following criteria: If you used a bank account linked to a PayPal business account as a payment method for the transaction, we will attempt to refund the money to your bank account.
If we are unable to do so, we will refund the money to your PayPal account balance. The availability of certain payment methods may be limited due to that particular seller or the third-party website you use to complete the transaction. You acknowledge that we may prepare certain reports to tax authorities in relation to the transactions we process. For example, PayPal is required to report to the Internal Revenue Service the total amount of payments for goods and services you receive each calendar year on all your accounts PayPal associated with the same tax identification number if you receive more than $20,000 in payments for goods and services and process more than 200 transactions with goods or services through those PayPal accounts in the same calendar year. The amount of the dispute resolution costs is determined when the dispute resolution procedure is established. Fees are based on the ratio of the total transaction amount of your receivables to the total amount of your sales for the last three calendar months. For example, for a dispute raised in September, your dispute will be calculated taking into account your ratio of total claims to sales in June, July and August. Your aggregate claims include all claims filed and escalated directly with PayPal, with the exception of claims for unauthorized transactions; and any chargeback by the Buyer`s card issuer or any cancellation by the Buyer`s bank. You should read and understand Venmo`s PayPal Purchase Protection Program and Protected Purchase Program, and if you sell goods and services to buyers with PayPal accounts in countries other than your own, you should also be aware of the purchase protection available to buyers in each of those countries. Buyers` rights under these programs may affect you as a seller. You can find information about PayPal protection programs on the Legal Agreements page by selecting your buyer`s location at the top of the page and referring to the appropriate user agreement. For more information about Venmo`s Protected Purchase Program, see the Venmo Terms of Service.

When you receive a payment, you must PayPal the full amount of the payment sent to you, plus any fees if the payment subsequently becomes invalid or is cancelled for any reason. If the buyer paid in another currency, the full amount of that payment may be charged in that currency, using the exchange rate for PayPal transaction (including our currency translation difference) in effect at the time of refund or cancellation processing. If your cash account balance or PayPal account does not cover the amount of payment due plus fees, we may use one of the payment methods associated with your PayPal account to cover the amount due. If the payment methods associated with your PayPal account do not cover the amount due, it will result in a negative balance. .
